changes
highlights of modifications for C-PLOT release 4.0.12
DESCRIPTION
These release notes describe the changes or new features made for C-PLOT release 4.0.12 as of March 8, 1995.
TMPDIR Environment Variable Considered
C-PLOT will now check for the existence of a TMPDIR environment variable that can specify a directory other than /tmp to be used for creating temporary files. Currently, the path name for TMPDIR is limited to 48 characters. If TMPDIR is unset, C-PLOT will use /tmp.
Improved Handling of Standout Text Mode
C-PLOT now makes extra efforts to ensure that the standout mode used for emphasis when displaying help files gets restored to nonstandout mode when the emphasis is no longer needed. There had been particular problems with standout mode remaining in effect on linux platforms, which were solved previously by modifying the /etc/termcap file.
